School Tours in Ireland's Shannon Region

Ireland’s Shannon Region is the place to come for lots of school-free fun! All students from tots to teens are catered for with a wide range of activities and attractions that will amuse, entertain and educate its visitors.

There is an array of activities and attractions to choose from, students can try their hand at any number of watersports on rivers, lakes and sea; sailing, kayaking, surfing and snorkelling to mention but a few.  Listen as your students shriek with delight on dolphin watching boat rides from Carrigaholt or Kilrush. Go pony trekking in the Ballyhoura Mountains, pet a piglet or feed the animals in the many open farms throughout the region or go underground in the
Aillwee and Doolin Caves.

Two of the very best school tour locations in Ireland are to found at Bunratty Castle & Folk Park and Craggaunowen–the Living Past Experience, an award winning Prehistoric Park.

Children also love the dramatic nature of the Cliffs of Moher and they will be glued to the virtual reality cliff face adventure movie THE LEDGE, screened in the cliffs interpretive centre. Larger towns have swimming pools, indoor play centres and cinemas that can be enjoyed especially on a rainy day. All in all, you’ll find it hard to tear them away…in fact; you’ll probably have to promise a return school trip.
